Welcome to my World

Ernest Hemingway is famously known for saying, “It is easy to write. Just sit in front of your typewriter and bleed.”

This quote can actually be traced back to 2 sports journalists in the 1940s: Red Smith and Paul Gallico. How it ended up being attributed to Hemingway by the writer of a self-help book in 1973 is a matter of no little controversy.

Controversy aside, I believe that all writers are intimately familiar with the metaphor that this quote brings to mind. These days, typewriters have been replaced by desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. But the underlying premise remains: we bleed.

This is the world of Credo De Muse; a world where the many different characters that exist within my head finally take form and are given a voice. In this world, there is neither right nor wrong, truth or lie. There is only what exists in the void — a void formed by opening a vein and watching your lifeblood paint a blank piece of paper bright crimson red.

Consider yourself warned.
